- Have a day after a steward training, to go over the contract, what's in it, and what does this mean.
- Keep each other updated on the most recent interpretations of the contract.
- 10-Minute Break issue remains - keep letting everyone know that state law requires 15-minutes for every 4 hours worked.
- Attendance policy - arbitration update - Christa, Joel, and Anita had a meeting about the attendance policy for two hours. Heard from Christa and Joel at the end of the meeting, "We're going to change this attendance policy." it's taken some time for updates but it seems like there's a need for a change in the recurring infraction part of the attendance policy.
- Before we agree to what they propose, we will seek group input.
- Contractually we said write-ups would last for three years.
- Then they immediately changed policy that goes outside the contract.
- How many people are sitting on a second or third write up that it could affect through the remainder of the contract.
- The contract says that they can change the handbook and that's where they can change policy.
- Job posting section of the contract - if they want another barback/bartender/lead/boxoffice - that goes into a staff newsletter where you have to apply and interview for it, which means that no one can never do anything new anymore because they aren't posting it.
